La Bete Now Booking

Mark Rylance leads an all-star cast in David Hirson’s highly acclaimed comedy drama La Bête, now booking at the Comedy Theatre. The former Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre won Best Actor for Jerusalem at this year’s Lawrence Olivier Awards. He is joined by fellow stage stars David Hyde Pierce and Joanna Lumley for a two month West End run, before La Bête crosses the Atlantic for a Broadway revival.

An Absolutely Fabulous Story

David Hyde Pierce, better known as ‘Dr Niles Crane’ in hit US sit-com Frasier, makes his West End stage debut as ‘Elomire’, the snobby dramatist of a classical theatre company struggling to keep favour in the French royal court. When vulgar street clown ‘Valere (Mark Rylance) is invited to join the troupe by their royal patron, a clash of egos brings about a fight for survival. Leading lady Joanna Lumley plays the fickle Princess who quickly grows tired of Elomire’s troupe.
