West End Theatre Breaks
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s next reality TV show, Over The Rainbow, is now confirmed to begin on Friday 16 March on BBC One at 9pm.
Over The Rainbow is the new reality TV show in search of a Dorothy for the brand new musical production of The Wizard Of Oz. Webber has been given exclusive rights by MGM, who were reluctant until now, to include the original songs from the film as well as compose new pieces. The show will also search for Toto, Dorothy’s pet dog.
The new show will reunite Webber with host Graham Norton. A new panel of judges has been revealed, actress Shelia Hancock, classical star Charlotte Church and Eastender John Partridge. The show comes just weeks after Webber launched his Phantom follow up, Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre. Webber has had a busy year, helping the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entry, preparing for Love Never Dies, under going surgery and now trying to find a Dorothy; at 61 is there any stopping the legendary composer?
