Now producer Cameron Mackintosh is apparently keen to present a newly imagined production, which will premiere in the UK before touring internationally. The production could follow in the footsteps of the popular Les Miserables 25th anniversary tour, which began performances in December 2009 at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff with new designs to sets and costumes and revisions to the original orchestrations. Laurence Connor, the co-director of the Les Miserables tour, is reportedly in line to work on the new Phantom project. The creative team could also include set and costume designer Paul Brown and Olivier Award-winning War Horse lighting designer Paule Constable. |
