Star of Oliver! Jodie Prenger is to star as Lady Of The Lake when Monty Python’s Spamalot returns to London.

Spamalot will start its UK musical tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre in May.

The show was created by original Python member Eric Idle and composer John Du Prez’s. Based on the film Monty Python And The Holy Grail, the show enjoyed a two year run at the West End’s Palace theatre, finishing in January 2009 to make way for the spectacular Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.

The show tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, Monty Python’s Spamalot follows Arthur as he and his knights journey through England on a mission to find the holy grail. The journey encounters killer rabbits, flatulent Frenchmen and a legless knight that won’t die.

Monty Python’s Spamalot plays at the New Wimbledon theatre from 29 May to 5 June, before continuing on tour around the UK.
