Rock n Roll Musical Hits the Road

Million Dollar Quartet West End musical Million Dollar Quartet has posted closing notices at the Noel Coward Theatre. The show tells the remarkable story of the night in December 1956 when Sun Records founder Sam Phillips brought Elvis Presley back to his studios in Memphis, Tennessee leading to an impromptu jam session with three rising stars - Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis – that became a recording session which made music history.

Show to Close in the New Year

The production opened in London in February 2011 to almost universal acclaim. It has since been seen by more than 200,000 people, played over 250 performances and grossed in excess of £5 million at the box office. The musical is then expected to hit the road for a major tour of the UK and Ireland, although dates and casting have yet to be confirmed.
