The Shakespeare classic romance Romeo & Juliet is to get a 21st century revival.

The new musical version, with an all male cast, will feature a score of ‘disco classics’ such as “Knock on Woods”, “Relight My Fire”, and “Love Hangover”. The musical, titled ‘Romeo & Julian’, takes on a homosexual twist.

Could this be the new ‘Priscilla Queen Of The Desert’?

Priscilla, starring Jason Donovan, has had a very successful year in the West End and also features an entire score of disco classics, and if an east London school production of a gay themed Romeo & Juliet last February is anything to go by, there will be some controversy.
