Spice Girls Musical Finds a Producer

A new musical based on the songs of the Spice Girls is reported to have found a producer in Mamma Mia! impresario Judy Cramer. With the working title of ‘Viva Forever’ the musical has the backing of Simon Fuller, The Spice Girls and Universal Music. 

This is Not a Tribute

Like Mamma Mia! and Take That musical ‘Never Forget’, the show will have a unique story that uses the well-known songs of the group. A TV talent show to find unknown voices is just one of the rumours already circulating, with some of the original Spice Girls sitting in on the judging panel.


Mamma Mia! Vision

Mamma Mia! opened in 1999, the dream of producer Judy Cramer. Abba’s Benny and Bjorn had always maintained tight control over their music, but Judy won them over with her persistence and vision. Catherine Johnson’s script is inventive and funny, and the musical’s fan base continues to grow.

Spice Girls Success

With the slogan ‘Girl Power’ The Spice Girls gate crashed the world Pop Music with their 1996 debut single ‘Wannabe’. They became the fastest selling group since the Beatles with their debut album ‘Spice’. They conquered America and toured the globe. After two further albums and a movie ‘Spice World’, the girls split to pursue successful solo careers.
