Grease is the WordAfter bursting onto Broadway in 1972 Grease has gone on to become a cultural phenomenon on both sides of the Atlantic. The 1978 film launched the careers of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, as T-Bird leader ‘Danny’ and new girl in school ‘Sandy’. The London revival has been running at the Piccadilly Theatre since 2007, coinciding with ITV talent show ‘Grease is the Word’ which cast the show’s lead roles. The musical’s famous score includes the songs ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and ‘Summer Nights’. |
