We Will Rock You Extends Booking Period

We Will Rock You Colourful Queen musical We Will Rock You has announced it will extend its booking period at the Dominion Theatre with tickets going on sale until Saturday 20th October 2012. The show opened on 14th May 2002 and has become one of the best-loved productions in the West End. It was even voted the nation’s most popular musical by the BBC Radio 2 Audience at the 2011 Laurence Olivier Awards. The current cast includes Alex Gaumond as ‘Galileo’, Sarah French as ‘Scaramouche’, X Factor finalist Brenda Edwards as ‘Killer Queen’ and Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy as ‘Pop’.

Freddie for a Day Raises Money in 2011

We Will Rock You The ‘Freddie for a Day’ campaign was held again this month to mark what would have been the 65th birthday of the late Freddie Mercury on Monday 5th September 2011. A lavish night at the Savoy in London was held to celebrate the date and raise money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust – the AIDS charity set up in Freddie's name following his death in 1991. Queen fans around the world were also encouraged to dress in their favourite Freddie stage outfit on the date to raise funds to support the charity.
