This brand new production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof comes to London after a sensational sellout run on Broadway. Tennessee Williams’ classic deals with the trials and tribulations of a close knit family on a southern plantation. While Big Daddy worries about his son Brick’s troubled and childless marriage, he fails to see his own problems. In 1958, the play was adapted into the iconic film starring Elizabeth Taylor.

Directed by Debbie Allen, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof brings to London its two leading stars. Multi award winner James Earl Jones reprises his role as the bad tempered Big Daddy. Jones is best known for his his roles in such films as Patriot Games, The Hunt for Red October, Conan the Barbarian and, most famously, as the voice of Darth Vader in the orginal Star Wars Trilogy.

He is rejoined by Phylicia Rashaad as Big Mama. Rashaad, Debbie Allen's sister, is known worldwide as the high flying Clair Huxtable in The Cosby Show. Rashaad was the first black woman to win the Tony award for Best Leading Actress in a Play for Broadway’s A Raisin in the Sun in 2004.

US film actress Sanaa Lathan plays the beautiful Maggie and Hustle star Adrian Lester joins the show as her alcoholic husband Brick.
