Rock of Ages premiered in Los Angeles in 2006 before making a Broadway move and being nominated for five Tony Awards. A tribute to the big hair rock music of the 1980s, Rock of Ages sets several glam rock hits to an original storyline set on the Sunset Strip. Busboy Drew would love to become a leading rock star, but has to settle instead with mopping floors and collecting glasses at the Bourbon Room. New waitress Sherrie encourages him to go after his dreams, but trouble soon arrives when two German developers come to LA determined to tear down the Strip. Rock of Ages includes the hair metal hits: Here I Go Again, Waiting for a Girl like You, Wanted Dead or Alive and Don't Stop Believin'.
