With a crash of drums and a flash of light Joseph has burst back into the West End in his dazzling coat of many colours worn by brand new star Lee Mead, winner of BBC TVs Any Dream Will Do. In an energetic and vibrant new staging of the record breaking 1990s London Palladium production, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webbers family classic is entertaining a whole new generation. This colourful retelling of the biblical story about dreamboat Joseph, his uncanny abilities and his designer coat sings out to young and old alike with a score which is wall to wall hits - including Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do. . Under 3s will not be admitted. Lee Mead will be on holiday from 28 July - 05 Aug & 03 - 11 Nov 2008. During this time the role of Joseph will be covered by an understudy.
Jenna Lee-James will not appear on Monday & Thursday evenings; at these performances the Narrator will be played by Fiona Reyes.
JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is a truly amazing portrayal of the age old biblical story. Featuring well loved songs such as Any dream will do, Close every door and Go go go Joseph. The BBC’s Any dream will do reality TV program picked the star of the show: Lee Mead. A truly amazing Lloyd Webber production with mind blowing displays of colour, an overwhelming performance from Lee and lots of high energy music and dancing, make the electrifying atmosphere felt by the whole audience.
