West End Theatre Breaks
Thriller Live, a live concert tribute to the works of Michael Jackson takes on the West Ends Lyric Theatre on 2 January 2009 after two ecstatically received extensive UK tours. The product of Flying Music who have had such jukebox hits as the Motownmusical Dancing in the Streets and a series of tributes to the Rat Pack, Thriller Live has been hailed as a must-see by the Liverpool Daily Post. Not just a sing through of the titular album, which became the biggest selling album of all time only ayear after its 1982 release, Thriller Live is a retrospective of Jackos entire recording career. Arguably more famous now for his turbulent and controversial private life than for his music, the show includes countless timeless classics, reminding us what made MJ such a star.
| Thriller Live celebrated its first West End birthday at the end of January and announced that six new songs will be added to the production this year. The updated version of the show, a high-energy tribute to the music of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, will officially launch on 11 February at the Lyric Theatre. |
